Philosophy
Distinctive features of offered birch lumber, graded according to National Hardwood Lumber Association, are low number of natural defects, absence of crook, low percent of wastage. As a result all mentioned gives the Purchaser high output of semi-finished products, low part of wastage; saves the material, labour force and electric power.
Sphere of Application
Depending on the grade lumber is traditionally used for production:
for moldings, long-length solid furniture components, etc. - Select&Better boards are used;
for kitchen cabinets production and components of furniture cabinets - #1 Common boards are used;
for flooring (block parquet, solid wood flooring, etc.) - #2 Common boards are used;
for furniture components, furniture panels, block parquet - #3 Common boards are used.
Lumber can be delivered planed or rough.

Select&Better lumber has the least number of natural flaws (defects) in wood and includes boards of high quality such as FAS.
Select&Better lumber is traditionally used for production of moldings, long-length solid furniture components, etc.
The area of clear flaw-free surface is not less than 83% of the board area.
Lumber can be produced as planed or rough.

Packaging of graded lumber is carried out onto non-return pallets of 1100 mm width and length corresponding to the lumber length. The package is formed of lumber of the same grade, the same length but different widths. The volume of lumber in the package is determined with measuring of each and every board. The formed package is wrapped with a polyethylene film from five sides and strengthen with a metal band across hard corners so not to damage the material. Every package has a label with the producer’s name, description of goods, wood species, dimensions, quantity of lumber, volume. The labels are packed in a waterproof film and fixed to two long sides of the pallets.
